I thought I would start taking notes about the kids. I used to write all this on a calender, but I just don't have the time nor do I think about it these days...so here we go.

Tobey is starting to giggle a little bit and has become more aware of his surroundings.  He is beginning to eat around 2.5 to 3 hours.  

Jenna has started saying “Mom Mee” she called me “Mum” for the longest.  She copies words really well.  I usually say “Excuse me baby” when I need by her so now she is starting to say “Shoes me Baby” when she needs by.  She and Tessa both love to kiss on Tobey and they fight over who gets to put his passy in his mouth.  Words she says that are cute:  Bocks for Socks, Shoes for Excuse, Get You, Daddin for Daddy

Tessa is reading through second grade books like they are a piece of cake.  She is constantly asking me for “homework” or workbooks.  She craves learning.

Tobey is beginning to pull his legs up when laying on his back.  He can also hold small toys or rattles for a little bit.  He doesn’t like sleeping in his crib yet.  He sleeps 7-8 hours at night.  He typically goes to sleep around 9pm and sleeps until 6:30 or 7.  He loves to snuggle.  He likes to be carried facing out and he loves to be talked to.  He coos (which is soo cute).  He is also trying to sit up and holds his head up really well.  Still eats every 2-3 hours during the day.  

Jenna is really exploding on talking.  The other night I was giving her a bath and she said “Stand Up” and “Where cup go?” and followed it with “Ohh here is” (too cute).  She loves to tumble and be flipped.  She loves to ride piggy back or on your shoulders.  Her laugh is contagious.   Will throw her diaper in the garbage.  Says “You welcome”.  Also throws things that don’t belong in the garbage away.  Daddy found a pair of Tobey’s pj’s in the trash last week. Calls Tobey’s passy a “bottle” last month she called it a ball.  She can also say burp rag (sounds more like Papaw). Jenna is also being to tell us "Poo poo" when she is stinky. She will say "Poo poo in potty" and want to sit on it, but won't go. She also says "I stinky...sheww wee". Too cute!

Tessa is a great big sister.  She likes to get Tobey’s passy for me or bring me burp rags.  When he is crying she will go talk to him or sing to him until I can get in there.  She calls it “baby sitting”...too cute!  

Whoa it's been awhile.....

So it looks like I am way behind....the last time I tried I was going to post Jenna's birth story, but blogger will not let you copy paste...tootie! Guess I'll have to just sit her at some point and type it out.

Just a quick update...Jenna is 6 months old...HA! Last post she wasn't even here yet. Jenna from birth to now.

Birth weight: 6pds 8oz (so much for that huge baby the doctors kept telling me I was going to have.

Birth Length: 19 1/2"

2 Month weight/ height: 12.5 pds 22.5"

4 Month weight/height: 14 pds 14 oz 24 1/4"

6 Months weight/height: 16 pds 10 oz 26 1/4"

Accomplishments:

Jenna is rolling from back to tummy. She then gets mad because she hasn't figured out how to roll from tummy to back. She is almost sitting. She tries so hard to crawl. I believe she is ready to chase after sister...but not sure if sister will be ready for that...LOL! She says "Dada, Gaga, Hey, Hi, oooh". We have started solids.

I have been so good with her. I am still breastfeeding, making all of her baby food and we have been in cloth diapers (full time) since she was 2 months old. I did cloth diapers with Tessa too, but only part time.

Tessa has adjusted well to having a little sister. She likes to announce to anyone that will listen that she is a big sister and that Jenna is a little sister. She loves helping Mommy with Jenna. She will bring me diapers, or bring Jenna a toy or cover her up. She is a very sweet big sister. We just recently moved Jenna into Tessa's room. Tessa sleeps right through Jenna's cries (yay!). I miss having Jenna in our room though. :o(

That about covers it. Hopefully I will be able to keep this thing updated beter. Maybe I can get some pictures of the girls on here soon.

37 weeks

Last Wednesday (Dec 1) I had the stitch removed. Yesterday I went to the Dr (37wks 1day) and I haven't dropped or dilated. I asked if she could just go ahead and induce me. She said without any cervical change it wouldn't do any good. Ugh! I am still measuring big so she sent me down to ultrasound. The baby is measuring 38wks 3days. She said she weighs roughly 7pds 3oz. They also did a 4D ultrasound for us. Poor baby is so squished in there. Here little ears are flat up against her head.

Tessa got to see the ultrasound for the first time. She was so concerned about me the whole time she barely noticed the ultrasound. She kept saying " You ok mommy? you ok? you hurt? I sowwy I hurt you! You ok? " When the tech popped the 4D up Tessa said "oh wow a baby!" It was so sweet!

34 weeks

I went to the Dr today. I was just there last week, but my Dr had me on rotation with other Doctors in her office. Well they thought my BP was a little elevated so she wanted me to come in again this week. Everything looks great. My BP was 120 over 82 which they said was fine. Dr Stradtman has scheduled my stitch to be snipped on December 1st. Then it's a wait and see when Jenna is ready to make her presence known. My Dr said she wouldn't let me go more than one week past due if it comes down to that. She also did an ultrasound today and verified (what I already knew or felt) that Jenna has indeed turned. She is ready to go.

Ultrasound and Doctor's Visit

The past few weeks I have been measuring on the large side. My doc said I was measuring 37 weeks...EEK! She ordered and ultrasound to make sure baby was not really THAT big! Well I went in for the ultrasound and since my Doctor's ultrasound tech was not going to be there today I had to go down to the mammogram clinic. That was interesting...man the looks I was getting. They must have thought "Lady you in the wrong room"...heehee. Anyway they were weird and wouldn't let Michael come back until all the measurements were taken....odd! So I am 31w 2d today and the baby measured right at 33w. They said that was normal. They guesstimated that she weighs around 4 pds 8oz, but they said the ultrasound could be as much as 11oz off. So she could weigh around 3pds 12oz. Who knows? Oh and she has a head full of hair...which explains the heartburn. She measured great, but she is in full breech right now. After the ultrasound I went up to see my doctor. She said the baby measured fine on the ultrasound and that I am probably measuring big because she is breech. She said breech babies tend to measure larger and carry higher. Bad news...if she doesn't turn they will have to preform a C-section. Praying that she turns!!

As for Tessa she is finally coming around to this whole baby thing. She points to my belly now and says "Baby Jenna in there". I think Tessa maybe coming down with something. Yesterday and today she ran a low grade fever and had a small appetite. Then this afternoon she would scream every time she swallowed anything. So it looks like I may be calling the ped tomorrow. Ugh!

Update..

I noticed today that I haven't updated this in a little while...

A couple of weeks ago I went in for the gestational diabetes screening. I was told not to eat breakfast...so I didn't...and still failed. It probably didn't hurt that I had a TCBY milk shake at about 9 or so the night before. Whoops! My score was 173 when it was supposed to be lower than 130. So I had to go in for the 3 hour test. I was told if to eat a high carb diet of 150grams of carbs a day for 3 days, then fast on the 3rd day after 12am. The first test was the fasting test which had to be 60-105. Mine was 85...Passed! After the first hour I was to test lower than 190. I tested 182...Passed! After the second hour I was to test lower than 165. I tested 156...Passed! Since I passed the first 3 they let me go home. I do not have gestational diabetes.

Last Thursday I went to see my OB and I measured big for the 3rd visit in a row. So next Thursday they want me to have an ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing the way she should. My doctor said I was carrying high and that was probably all it is...but they want to make sure.

Thursday I went to see my high risk dr for the last time. He said my cervix looked great and doesn't see any reason to see me anymore. He said we should have a December baby and there is no reason we shouldn't be able to have more children if we want. I'm excited about this release, but also a little scared. It was nice getting those bi-weekly ultrasounds. I just have to have faith that all will work out....and it will!!
